Happy Halloween!!!
In case you're wondering, Rebecca is a flower and Blake is a hunter. Blake's costume is what you would call a desperate last minute attempt at finding something a picky 2 year old will wear.
I realize he looks like a terrorist.....we're just going to have to live with that.
Hope your halloween was a blast!

Hungry anyone?
I have a new craft obsession. Felt food.
Blake loves to play with pretend food so I decided to make him some. I found some pictures online and went to work.
This stuff is so easy and fun to make. My sewing machine is broken so I've been doing it by hand and it's still super fast to make. Plus, felt is cheap (and eco-friendly since it's made of post-consumer waste) so if Blake's done playing with the food in a few months (or weeks) I'm not out much. So far it doesn't look like that's going to happen. He loves this stuff and is always trying to serve me up a tasty felt treat.
Here are a few of my creations....and I'm just getting started.
Breakfast:
Lunch:
(I also made some peanut butter and jelly for this sandwich but didn't take a picture of it.)
Dinner:
Dessert:
I'm currently working on a burger and fries and a chicken and mashed potato dinner complete with pumpkin pie.
I love making this stuff and am thinking about making some for a few kiddos I know with upcoming birthdays and maybe even some Christmas presents. A little handmade apron with some felt sugar cookies (with icing and sprinkles, of course) on a new cookie sheet with a recipe for real cookies would be an adorable present......as would some take-out felt food in little fast food containers complete with a menu and brown felt bag to put it in....how cute! All of the food I've made so far has only cost me about $10 or $15.....a great idea if you're on a tight budget!

Paging Dr. Blake....
This morning Blake decided Rebecca needed a checkup.
He eased my fears by declaring "it's ok mom, I'm Dr. Venuto." (Dr. Venuto is my boss and the Dr. that delivered both Blake and Rebecca.)
According to Blake she was a good patient....
....and a model of good health....in spite of all the drool.
He told me she didn't cry because "she knows I love her, I talked nice to her yesterday."
A good doctor is a caring doctor......

3 months
Can you believe this little stinker is 3 months old?!
I can't, the time has literally flown by.
I have to go to work tomorrow and I can't believe it's been 13 weeks already. I'm only working one or two days a week, but I'm still so anxious about leaving this little munchkin, even for one day.
Good thing she has her big brother to look out for her.
Better not mess with him.
(In case you're wondering, Rebecca has a little birthmark on her cheek. It's mostly under the skin making it look like a bruise. Just a birthmark....it will go away eventually....she did not get punched in the face as someone in the grocery store recently asked me.....no bar brawls....no WWE smackdowns.....just a birthmark!)
