If you are what you eat, then what does that make Blake?
One of the things that's always amazed me about little boys is their ability to find and create messes. I know little girls are capable of this too, however boys are far superior in finding anything gross, disgusting, or downright nasty.
My first experience with this came when Blake started crawling at 8 months of age and I found him near the sliding glass door with half of a crane fly sticking out of his mouth.
It's been downhill ever since.
Now that he's older, he still finds the gross, but at least he keeps it out of his mouth.....usually.
Yesterday we were outside playing (it was actually sunny...and warm....crazy!) and I turned around to find Blake using a dirty plastic shovel to play in the dog's water bowl. The water in the dog bowl hadn't been changed in a couple of days causing it to be a sort of green color with all manner of dead bugs and dog hair floating in the top. There was even a worm in there. Not to mention the shovel.....I have no idea where that thing had been...I don't even want to think about it.
It was a surefire recipe for grossness. The perfect storm of disgusting, if you will.
It was at the exact moment I opened my mouth to tell him not to play in the water that he dipped the shovel in the bowl and took a drink.....TOOK A DRINK!
I was so grossed out....and horrified.....and disgusted......which is the exact reaction my little boy lives for.
He grinned, giggled a little, and exclaimed "it taste good mama!"
That kid must have bowels of steel by now.....or a parasite.

Kathy - you are hilarious!! You should be a stand up comedian!!
What a great story...
You have to love little boys. How is your pregnancy going? When are you due again?
Ohhhh... I am CRINGING! Â
Oh the things I have to look forward too. Ever since Emery started walking it's race to beat him to all the gross things he wants to play with. He favorite... the dog dish!
